Yes indeed, it’s the 17th of May. Happy Birthday Norway! It’s been 100-something years. I spent my day at Trine’s place, eating donuts, watermelon and playing Little Big Planet!
To my surprise Norway won the Eurovision 2009 yesterday. It’s kind of like a singing contest here in Europe. Usually Norway tend land on top 10, from the bottom.
I did not watch the show and neither have I heard all the other songs, but those I was referred to was quite… cheesy. I think this song is rather catchy, but what’s up with those “folk dancing” guys? Hahaha, they’re super hilarious and ruins the stage. They should’ve kept it very traditional and the hats should’ve been held up by a girl with a stick as they’re supposed to.

Yes it is, but it looks like they’re fooling around randomly on stage. What on earth was up when those guys were pulling that one guy between them? So much drama, hahaha. They didn’t even wear proper traditional outfits either.
The hat-kicking is probably one of the most coolest thing in folk dancing. =P
