Why is Lightning on the cover?

They claim that to be an artbook, 57 pages of CG and screenshots.
Meh. =P

I’m only 6-7 hours in the game and it feels somewhat recycled. First of all the cast. Lightning, ex soldier, sword, quite grumpy and wants to be left alone. Sazh, chocolate skin, a gunner bro with a nice and bouncy afro. The fist scene starts with a train and there’s a lot of flashbacks going on during my current playthrough. Story advancement is very linear, just right now and cut-scene heavy. Voice acting is much better than Final Fantasy X and not as cheesy as Final Fantasy XII yay!

Fighting is fun, there’s something called Paradigm Shift, which is a mix of the FFX grids and FFX-2 job-system. Jobs can be changed anytime during battle, but then you change jobs it’s for everyone in the party, not individually. Each “job group” will have its own name, my current favourite is “Bully”, Vanille de-buff targets and the two others attack. You can only decide the actions of the party leader and you are not yet able to choose who you want in your party. If Lightning should die, it’s game over.

So far so good, I enjoy the music, Paradigm Shift and the story is quite decent. Graphics are nice, though the Xbox 360 version is downgraded and the game is on 3 discs. If I ever should need a break from the game, I can play Bayonetta, which I borrow from the library. Nyarhar!

Bah, it’s annoying that food is quite pricy and the cheap stuff tend to smell weird or look dodgy. Today I ate some kind of mushroom stew, didn’t taste as bad as I expected. Surprise surprise! Not to mentioning that I handed in that scripting assigment, all thanks to my genious shool-mates! All I did was to do a little changes in the script, but that was the plan. I wouldn’t survive that class without them, I owe them big times.

I’ve not been holding back on my spending there past two days. So far I’ve bought 2 t-shirts, a jumper and a Tamagotchi!

I actually do not like all the blackness, but the other colours did not appeal to me. Good thing I like Gozaruchi, that little ninja fellow. That is the Familichi v.5 or something. Instead of one characters, there are now three which is a family. My family is sleeping just right now, I have two boys and one girl. D’awwwwwwwww.

With a given log-in code I can play games and win special items through the Tamagotchi Connection website, which I think is quite neat and funny. I’ve been wanting an original Tamagotchi for a while, lucky me finding it on sale! I shall fiddle with it during boring classes and whenever I’m too lazy to do anything else. Which is almost always. *insert loud a-hem here* Anyways, I am trying to improve myself, obviously in vain. I do not enjoy being a s(b)lob and all “blerh-y“.

Will aslo try to make some more stuff for Snackellery, I feel the motivation coming back.

Long time no sea

Why yes, it’s quite depressing not living nearby the sea. Mjøsa is not quite the same. Me and my neighbours have figured out that the lake is an evil being making people jog early in the morning while it’s -30 degrees. Happy new year to all too. I managed to pass all the exams and I’m quite pleased with my grades. Alas we’re having more scripting this semester that I most probably will not understand.

The others are away, visiting the Malaysialands. I do not envy them, though I do miss all the yummy foodstuffs. I’m home just right now, keeping Grandma company! It’s good to be home and live in a house, being able to move around a little and not having to use my headset while playing games and worry about loudness. Alas, soon I’ll have to kick myself up to the mountains and that… lake again.

I’ve seen that movie Avatar twice, the second time in 3D, but it wasn’t that impressive in 3D. Mostly because the screening room is not really meant to be a 3D place and the subtitles were quite yellow and ruined the feel. Avatar is entertaining and the visuals are absolutely beautiful! The plot wasn’t anything new, Pocahontas and stories along that line. I’d love to be a Na’vi, blue skin, long tail, tentacles in my hair, living in harmony with nature.

Anyhow, I changes my blog theme, I think it’s quite spiffy and I think about re-designing my website and thinking about getting a new domain name. I wonder how many times I’ve mentioned that. The word “lemon” is quite the hiderance every time I’m trying to make a new look. I might keep it for hosting/storage/school purposes though.

Sigh.

Done with the animation history exam, only 3 more to go! One more written and the rest are hand-ins. Almost done with my game. It’s such a pain. BRAWRGH.

Alas, I’m still alive. Kind of bored of blogging, since I have to blog about our moronic flash assigment too. Click this link to see my “awesome” progress. I’m so sick of it all! *sob*

Anyways, I made foos yeterday! I’m not sure what I should call it in English, but it’s sliced potatoes, sliced button shrooms, cheese put in layers with cream poured over it. Then I stuffed it in the oven for 40min. T’was quite tasty.

Anyways, I’m spending my days loathing our assigments and playing Lost Odyssey. I like that game, made by the old Squaresoft people. That’s about my life just right now.

After 1 week of waiting, it’s mine, miiine!
Nothing much happening here anyways. My appartment is 15.5m^2 big and my furniture is a table, my makeshift table and my matress. I’m really concidering to order stuff from Ikea, but the delivery will consume alot of moolah.

Tank is up and running, what awesomeness! Now I can play computer games too. Kenny game me The Witcher, just played a bit of the beginning, but it gave me good impressions of it. I bought The Orange Box, for the sake of Portal and Team Fortress 2. Portal is hilarious, fullstop. Then I’ve got The Elderscrolls: Morrowind, still a bit confused about how things work in that game, but so far so good. Kankuro, my trusted Xbox have been tortured with a lot of Viva Piñata lately, 43/50 achievements is not a good sign. Yes, I do have the 50 hour real time achievement. D:

Today I have to clean up my character in Flash, found out that I want re-draw it with pen tool. *insert sob here* We’re going to make a platform game, interesting. We also have to make a blog and a wiki dedicated to this project. If some of you be interested, I shall post it. Most probably the Wiki will be in Norwegian, but I’ll be blogging in English.

Allow me to slumber a bit more before I venture into the horrid world of flash.

I’m off tomorrow early:morningAM. It’s either 4:00, 5:00 or 6:00.

Tank is hidden behind my makeshift table! I stuffed wires, books, my shelf decoration-buddies and my Xbox 360 inside it. Gah, just look at that bag of clothes, didn’t know I had that many. I need more pants though.

The mom has been in a buying frenzy for things I need, but I could bring something from the house. There’s something wrong with her. Absolutely everyting got to be new and it’s an excuse to spend money. What I dislike the most is that she bought me plates and cups. Reson one: they’re heavy and un-practical. Reason Two: Ugly design.

I don’t really understand why they insisted on buying semi-foodstuffs for the kitchen and bathroomy stuff now. Like salt, pepper, soy-sauce, rice, detergents, toothpaste, plaster ( wtf Grandma XD; ), diverse paper-rolls etc. Did it ever occur to them that it’s buyable other places? Such a fuss to carry around.

We’re going to stop by Ikea on our way up to get me a cheap table and mini-shelf too.

It’s so much stuff…! D:

I’ll be living without internet and such for an unknown period of time, probably a couple of weeks, but I will leech a bit, if possible. *insert evil laughter here*

Anyways, I’m not an ungrateful bastard and I’ve thanked them properly or will do so. Lol. I’ve thanked my Grandmother and Dad though.

Snackellery prototypes

Fun, toothpick, needles and 6min baking.

Since we’re going to deal with snacky things, we should remind our customers to care of their teeth!

A small zoom for the sake of showing the rice grains. Those small sushi could act like bead “dividers/spacers” for bigger sushi. I mixed a little white in the red center, so it would look more “meaty”. Grain effect thanks to a light gray clay which is glittery!

Typical, I forgot to poke a hole through the best mini-sushi so I gave it to Reno. Looking rather ungrateful. D:

I had this idea for sumo-onigiri, sumogiri! the belt thing is actually twisted.

I finally bough some Cernit last week. Why yes, it do need some super softening treatment before I can work with it! Well, my friend told me that I could put them in warm water or something and let them become soft, instead of abusing my fingers. I’ll do that next time, just wanted to play with it for now!
